A little bit about this project

This project started with a few questions -​

• What does Bengaluru mean to us Bangaloreans? 

• What are the faces of Bengaluru that we have not seen?

• How do we see Bengaluru?

• How did the Bengaluru we see today become what it is?

 

We, a bunch of teenagers and a few adults, started by learning a bit about the history of Bengaluru, from its "pete" days, to the "Cantonment" days and to finally becoming the city we live in.  Reading about Bengaluru's history helped us choose neighborhoods that interested us the most. We met pre visit and planned for the visit of the week. We also met post visits to share our thoughts and the plan ahead. A huge part of our visits has been using public transport, which helps us manage within our budget, step out of our comfort zone, and also experience a different kind of Bangalore. On our visits we went to various places and explored by interviewing people  and tasing differnet food. This website is a platform to share our thoughts, learnings and experiences.
